The Educational Technology Department, under the Office of the Associate Provost, is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and assessing professional development opportunities in the area of technological practices for effective teaching, learning and assessment. The Educational Technology Department acts in a liaison capacity between faculty groups and IT service areas, coordinates existing resources, evaluates educational technology, assists with Blackboard LMS faculty development and support, and provides instructional design training.

The mission of the Educational Technology Department is to provide technological and pedagogical leadership, training, and innovation to empower faculty to deliver quality, deep learning experiences to all students.

Our vision is to be the model for creating effective learning partnerships by collaborating with faculty and administrators to ensure that our educational technology systems, applications, and support effectively meet the needs of our constituents.
